Testimonials

Tom Year 5 Coordinator Preston Primary

Jess and Kirsty delivered inspired content, tailored to the everchanging demands of modern day classroom. By sharing their own experiences as educators, they gave practical advice and offered new ways to approach challenging situations. My colleagues and I walked away with a fresh perspective and a desire to apply strategies when dealing with neuro-diverse students. We particularly enjoyed the emphasis on ES staff and the important role they play in our schools. I highly recommend this engaging PD to all schools, they won’t be disappointed!

Belinda (Parent)

“My daughter, who has ASD, was a regular visitor to the school sick bay with “tummy pains”. I was called on numerous occasions to leave my work to come and collect her. After speaking with Jess, we worked in consultation with our psychologist to come up with a plan to support Lily and the school. Now Lily has the insight to identify her feelings as anxiety and the coping strategies she needs to be able to manage these feelings whilst staying at school. Since working with Jess, Lily has stayed at school all day, without any calls for me to collect her. We cannot thank Jess enough for her practical approach and workable solutions.”

Kate Johnson (Parent and Registered Counsellor)

“Kirsty is such a brilliant support! Kirsty’s dedication to understanding student needs, vast experience working alongside neurodiverse children with high anxiety and her willingness to collaborate in partnership with parents/carers changed our son’s time at school. Kirsty’s warm, encouraging, positive and compassionate approach was so refreshing. We appreciate Kirsty’s experience, knowledge and leadership.”

Tim (Teacher)

“Professional, passionate and motivated, Jess has the interpersonal skills, knowledge and work ethic to have a big impact on student wellbeing in any setting. I have worked alongside Jess for the past 4yrs. During this time she has led our whole school approach to student wellbeing. She has run professional development sessions upskilling staff, organised and implemented whole school wellbeing assemblies and run many 1:1 coaching sessions with students and staff. Her expertise in wellbeing and ability to listen and build relationships with the people she works with allows her to have lasting and positive impact.”

Andrea & Cameron (parents)

“Kirsty’s compassion and skill has changed our neurodivergent son’s attitude towards his schooling. He has evolved from a nervous and reluctant learner, to one who really enjoys school, and now tackles it with a positive ‘can do’ attitude. Kirsty has been able to gain his trust through her skills of listening, and has taught him to have some autonomy in deciding how he wishes to learn. Kirsty is an incredible problem solver both in the classroom and in social settings outside the classroom. A tower of wisdom, Kirsty has become an incredible ally for our son, and has made his educational journey a positive one. We will be forever grateful. grateful.”

Paul Lowe (Assistant Principal)

“Jess and Kirsty are amazing! I have worked with both of them for the last 8 years and have loved every minute with them. They are the perfect team to support children and adults alike. They have genuine care and passion for the wellbeing of others. This comes naturally to both Jess and Kirsty who have a very high emotional intelligence and fantastic interpersonal skills. In their respective roles at Billanook PS, both go above and beyond what is expected of them. Jess and Kirsty are well equipped with experience, knowledge and empathy. You will be in very good hands with them and so will your families. Both have continued to inspire me and my job as Assistant Principal has been made easier having them as employees in my corner. When running a school, I feel far less stressed or overwhelmed when Jess and Kirsty are nearby. I have full confidence that both Jess and Kirsty will take great pride in supporting your community.”
